The Giant Operation table consists of a male patient who is awaiting an operation. It is similar to the classic table-top game but in a giant form! The unfortunate patient has twelve individual cavities, positioned all over his body. Each cavity contains a body part – for example, his ‘Adam’s Apple’, ‘Funny Bone’ or ‘Butterflies in his Stomach’.
Giant Operation is a battery-operated game of physical skill that tests players’ hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
One way to play the Giant Operation or Surgery game is at the start of each game, the player has three lives, and every time the tweezers touch the patient’s body, the player loses one of these lives.
The game is started by simply picking up the surgical tongs or tweezers and trying to remove a body part.
By using the surgical tweezers provided, the player has to very carefully remove all (or as many as possible) of the twelve body parts without allowing the tweezers to touch the patient’s body.
Of course, the aim of the game is for the player to perform the operation and remove all twelve body parts in less than 60 seconds, without using all three lives. The player who achieves this in the quickest time is the winner!

The operation table is surrounded by a sheet that covers the folding table and hangs down to the floor on all four sides covering the legs.

The game can be difficult, due to the shapes of the fabricated ailments and the fact the openings are barely larger than the pieces themselves.
Adam’s Apple: An apple in the throat.
Broken Heart: A heart shape with a crack through it on the left side of the chest.
Wrenched Ankle: A wrench in the left ankle.
Butterflies in the Stomach: A large butterfly in the middle of the torso.
Spare Ribs: Two ribs fused together as one piece.
Water on the Knee: A pail of water in the knee.
Funny Bone: A cartoon-style bone.
Charley Horse: A small horse resting near the hip joint.
Writer’s Cramp: A pencil in the forearm.
The Ankle Bone Connected to the Knee Bone: A large bone that has two circular ends at the right ankle and knee.
Wish Bone: A wishbone similar to that of a chicken located on the right side of the chest.
Bread Basket: A slice of bread, with a small notch taken out of the top for grip.
